Labuan Bajo, October 3, 2025 – The Berdikari Ekosmira Team of the eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic, in collaboration with SMKN 1 Labuan Bajo, conducted a teaching factory on September 24 and 27, 2025. Thirty eleventh-grade students from the Tourism Service Business (ULP) Study Program and two accompanying teachers participated in the event.
The teaching factory focused on introducing the use of the wisatawaelolos.com website and practicing excellent guiding services in Wae Lolos Tourism Village. The event was opened by the Head of the Wae Lolos Tourism Group (Pokdarwis), Mr. Robert Perkasa, and was followed by a presentation on excellent service by Roseven Rudiyanto, Head of the Berdikari Ekosmira Research Team at the eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic.
Following the presentation, the students conducted site visits to several tourist attractions in Wae Lolos to practice their guiding skills. They were also further introduced to the features of the wisatawaelolos.com website as a digital promotional tool for the tourism village.
The students and teachers welcomed this activity with enthusiasm and were delighted to be directly involved in the field practice. They considered this teaching factory to be a valuable experience, not only for the students but also for the Wae Lolos Tourism Group (Pokdarwis), which received input on managing tourism services.
This activity is expected to strengthen the competency of SMKN 1 Labuan Bajo students in the field of tourism services while supporting the development of Wae Lolos Tourism Village as a leading destination based on technology and excellent service.
