Wae Lolos, August 29, 2025 – The Cunca Plias Pokdarwis (Tourism Group) of Wae Lolos Village, along with the eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic Research Team, officially launched the wisatawaelolos.com website as a digital marketing platform to expand promotional reach and enhance tourist appeal. This launch is part of the BERDIKARI EKOSMIRA (Penguatan Ekosistem Kemitraan untuk Pengembangan Inovasi Berbasis Potensi Daerah / Strengthening Partnership Ecosystems for Regional Potential-Based Innovation Development) program series organized by the Direktorat Jenderal Minat Saintek, Kementerian Sains, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi (Kemendiktisaintek) through the Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP).
This program carries the theme “Smart Traditional Tourism Village Innovation to Increase the Competitiveness of Tourism Villages” with a case study in Wae Lolos Village, West Manggarai Regency.
During the launch, the eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic Research Team not only assisted the Cunca Plias Tourism Group (Pokdarwis) in creating an official website, but also submitted a business plan and business model canvas as strategic guidelines for village tourism development.
“Wae Lolos Village has a large tourist market potential. This website is an important promotional tool to convince tourists to visit and experience the uniqueness of this village firsthand,” said Roseven Rudiyanto, Head of the Research Team.
The Head of the Cunca Plias Pokdarwis (Tourism Group), Robert Perkasa, expressed his appreciation to the research team for their support.
“We have used this website for promotions, including at the 2025 Bali & Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF). The impact is already visible in the increase in tourist visits,” he said.
The Wae Lolos Village Government, through Village Head Gervinus Toni, also expressed their appreciation for this collaboration.
“We are grateful to the academics from the eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic for supporting the development of tourism in Wae Lolos Village. This collaboration is an important step in advancing our village,” he said.
Currently, tourists can visit wisatawaelolos.com, the official website of Wae Lolos Tourism Village. The site contains three main pieces of information:

- What to see — attractions and panoramas to enjoy
- What to buy — typical souvenirs tourists can purchase
The launch of this website is expected to be the first step towards more professional, measurable, and sustainable tourism management, while strengthening Wae Lolos Village’s position as a leading destination in West Manggarai.
