Upon arrival at Wae Lolos, the tourists were immediately greeted with the warmth and friendliness of the local residents. The sincere smiles and friendly greetings from the villagers created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making guests feel comfortable and welcome.

The beautiful natural scenery and cool mountain air immediately captivated them, seeming to soothe the fatigue after a long journey from Labuan Bajo city. During their visit, the Malaysian group was not only treated to the stunning panorama of “Thousand Waterfalls” but also invited to experience village life firsthand. They had the opportunity to interact directly with the residents, share stories, and learn about local traditions. One of the most memorable moments was enjoying the fragrant local coffee and delicious traditional dishes. The authentic flavors of these dishes, combined with the camaraderie, further enriched their experience interacting with the Wae Lolos community.

The tourists also used this visit to support the local economy. Before returning to Labuan Bajo, they flocked to buy souvenirs in the form of agricultural commodities directly from the farmers’ gardens. Fragrant vanilla, distinctive cloves, candlenuts, and cinnamon bark were among their favorites. Buying directly from the farmers not only ensures product quality but also gives the tourists a sense of pride in contributing directly to the well-being of the village community.
